Slip Decorating and Image Transfers  with Chris Snedden Date: Saturday March 26, 2011 - 9 AM to 4 PM

Location: 949B Gladstone Ave., Ottawa

Cost : $65.00 (includes a personalized silk screen)
 

The workshop will explore various ways of printing, using slips and underglazes. Freehand drawing, block printing, back painting, paper resists and creating a custom photo silkscreen to print your images and then apply what we have created to several leather hard pieces that you will bring to the studio on the day.

In order to maximize the use of our short time to cover a big subject, Chris will prepare silk screens for all participants in advance with an image of your choosing. This silk screen is included in the price of the workshop and Chris will also show you how to make screens for yourself.

Drip and Spill No More Carol-Ann has been making jugs, teapots and all kinds of
objects that pour for many years and has developed the techniques and skills
needed to make them well. Many potters struggle to get these pieces not to
drip and to pour well. Here is the class to learn how to get it right. Explore the mechanics and aesthetics of pouring vessels as well as comfortable handles.
