 Great Bowls of Fire Benefit for the Ottawa Food Bank 2012

 

Date: Saturday, March 3

Time: Doors open at 5:00 pm. Bowl selection at 5:30pm. Event ends at 8:00 pm

Tickets: $35 from Il Primo Restaurant, 10 am to noon, as of Feb. 9.  (see important details below) 

Location: Glebe Community Centre, corner of Lyon St. and Third Ave.

Great Bowls of Fire begins with your selection of a handmade bowl offered by one of the Ottawa Guild's potters. It will be filled with your choice of a delicious soup by some of the best restaurants in town, accompanied by fresh breads offered by several excellent bakeries. With these in hand, socialize with friends and feast on the food and music. Your hosts for the evening are Derick Fage and Lois Lee who will also animate the auction sale of special ceramic pieces.

 

We know that we can count on your generosity to support the Ottawa Food Bank. We would like to thank all these exceptional suppliers who are offering their wares for the benefit of the Ottawa Food Bank.

 

The impressive line-up of restaurants ladling out their warming soups include Il Primo Ristorante, Restaurant E18teen, Absinthe Café, Allium, Canvas Restobar, Domus Café, Town Restaurant, The Wellington Gastropub, Thyme and Again, Fraser Café and Stone Soup Foodworks.

 

Bakeries comprise ACE Bakery, Rideau Bakery, Trillium Bakery, The Joy of Gluten Free, Farm Boy Kanata

 

Coffee supplied by Goodie's Fine Catering

 

Music by Some Ensemble Required led by Jim Mattson. Sound system from Wall of Sound. Stage support from the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group
