Call for 2011 MERA Award for Excellence applications

The MERA Award for Excellence in Fine Arts and Fine Crafts, inaugurated in 2009, will be given again in 2011. This is a juried award open to visual arts and fine craft artists residing in any of the following municipalities: the town of Perth and the Townships of Lanark Highlands, Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley, North Frontenac and Central Frontenac.

The MERA Award will be given on the basis of a single work of fine art or fine craft created in the one year period before the deadline date for applications. The creator of the winning work will receive a $1000. prize. The deadline date for applications is January 31, 2011.

Presentation of the MERA Award will be made at MERA’s headquarters on a date to be determined at the end of March 2011. More information about the MERA Award and MERA is available on MERA's website: http://www.meraschoolhouse.org .
