Silent auction to take place at our sale this week

Two beautiful Mashiko Plates were bought thirty years ago in Mashiko, Japan, a world famous pottery centre. They have been generously donated to the Ottawa Guild of Potters to raise funds for the rebuilding of the kilns & workshops that were extensively damages by the earthquake.

The Guild is supporting this silent auction as a gesture of solidarity with the potters of Mashiko and any the money raised will go to The Mashiko Potters Fund which was established to exclusively aid the potters and potteries of Mashiko, Japan. As well as raising funds through the silent action, cash donations will be gratefully accepted at each cash for the Mashiko Potters Fund.

The auction will be open to bids at the Shenkman Centre between 6 pm on Thursday, April 28 until 5 pm Sunday May 1st. Please join us for the Exhibition vernissage on Thursday starting at 6 pm.
