Robert Way
Originally trained as a fine artist. I attended NSCAD University in Halifax for my first year then was accepted in the third year at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Completing my graduating year in Florence, Italy in the off campus program of OCA The experience I have in painting has made a definite difference in my glazing technique. I like to apply glazes in a free and painterly way. I like to do functional pieces with rounded flowing forms, My pottery is hand-made all of which is microwave and dishwasher safe and can be heated in the oven. My favourites are very large bowls. I make full size bathroom sinks that can be mounted on the counter or in furniture. It makes washing your hands a new experience.
